Great Eats in the High Country
One of the greatest things about living in Blowing Rock is the access to great cuisine. Day in and day out you can find great eats in the High Country. A really special event that showcases the talented chefs in the area is Fire on the Rock, hosted by Crippen's Country Inn & Restaurant. Every year there is a culinary competition that pits local chef vs. local chef in a playoff style cooking competition called Fire on the Rock. Sixteen chefs from the area will compete in this year's competition. The match-ups for this year have been set and the preliminary round starts on January 31.
